Wide Format Posters
Wide format posters are great for promotional posters, marketing, branding, event banners, artwork, illustrations, and more!
What is Giclée or Wide Format Poster Printing?
Giclée printing refers to fade-resistant, pigment based, archival quality, inkjet printing. This type of printing is commonly used for digital art prints and high quality reproductions of traditional art.
What are the file requirements?
Your files should be:
- At least 300 DPI
- High Resolution JPGs, PDFs, TIFFs, or PNGs
- Created in CMYK Color Format
What should be my file dimensions?
File dimensions must be exactly the same size as the print dimensions. For example, if you are printing a 24"x36" poster, your files must be 24"x36". Full bleed jobs need to be sized 1/4" larger than the final cut size.
The widest print we can produce is 44”, so be sure to keep that in mind when designing your files.
What is considered a wide format job?
Any print that is larger than 12"x18" no bleed is considered a wide format job by CatPrint.
Prints larger than 12"x18" must be printed by our HP Inkjet Printer. However, you do not have to print larger than 12"x18" to use the HP Inkjet Printer. All you have to do is simply select one of our poster printer substrates and your job will printed on our HP Inkjet Poster Printer:
- - Luster Gloss Poster Paper
- - Art Quality Poster Canvas
How do I set up a Giclée job?
On the order builder page, under paper options, make sure to select either Luster Gloss Poster Paper or Art Quality Poster Canvas. Then fill in the rest of your job specifications. Please keep in mind that the substrates we currently offer can only be printed on one side.
