File Setup:
You'll need to provide two files: a Foil Only file and a Non-Foil file.

Foil Only: This file should have ONLY the foil elements, in solid black on a white background.

Non-Foil: This should be a separate file with ONLY the non-foil design elements.

Foil Only file example:

Non-Foil file example:
Toner Layer

The final prints would look like this:

Additional File Setup:
We apply the foil finishing first, and print the non-foil layer afterwards. Due to natural shifting of these layers during the printing process, we do not recommend using very precise alignment of foil and surrounding toner elements (such as a full color background with foil text elements).

If you wish to proceed with a design using precise alignment of graphics, we ask that your files be set up with the following additional specifications:

Foil Only: This file should have ONLY the foil elements, in solid black on a white background. Add on 0.3 pt stroke to these elements to reduce the risk of extreme shifting between the layers of foil and toner. (Approximately 1/32" of shifting may still occur, and is unavoidable.)

Non-Foil: This should be a separate file with ONLY the non-foil design elements. Knock out white space where the foil finishing is intended to show through. Do NOT add any additional stroke to these elements.
